Are you hungry for deeper dialogue about the climate crisis and building community around solutions? We are too. That’s why we're going to start a discussion group or "circle" for up to 9 people who want to read & discuss the book All We Can Save. The circle will be like a book club, but a cooler, deeper, extended version.
I would like to encourage everyone to check out the website All We Can Save: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis | A national bestseller — The All We Can Save Project and/or reviews on Amazon before making a decision whether to join the discussion group.
I bought 9 used copies of the book a while ago to save everyone the time & money for acquiring the book. New copies of the book sell for $29, so the $10 I will be asking should seem fair, I hope.
I've never led a book club before, but the website provides me with plenty of guidance so that I can pretend to be a seasoned pro. I promise to be fair and give everyone a chance to speak. I'm a bit introverted myself & I know how annoying it is when some people get carried away, etc.
If you'd like to start dealing with your own climate anxiety, but now is not the right time to commit to 10 meetings of a discussion group, then please consider reading the book at your own pace. The authors have created a guided experience via email which will invite you into dialogue with the book and move towards action beyond its pages. The emails will offer generous questions for reflection or journaling, as well as additional resources.

To join the book club/circle, please send me an email at marthamcc@verizon.net by Monday March 11th to let me know that you're interested.
Please indicate your preference for how often we should meet (either once per week, or twice per month).
If there is a lot of interest, then I will pick names from a hat.
